About Enkore Kids: (top) You have better things to do with your time than organize a yard sale, price your items, pay for the ad, put up signs, then wait for hours, only to have most of the stuff you started out with that has to be packed up and put away for next time. Whew! Until now consignment has been the only other option, but how long must you wait until you even see a dime? How quickly can you get an appointment? What will make your items stand out and get sold? What other fees are involved? What will they be priced at? How often will they be marked down? What if you don't have time to pick up items that don't sell before your consignment contract is up? What if your items get lost? We are not your typical consignment store! We give you a fair offer based on current supply & demand and you get your money (or twice the amount in store credit - your choice) immediately the day of your appointment for most items. And we do save you time and offer you convenience. What price can you put on that? We tend to accept more items than you can sell in a month of yard sales and for unsaleable items, we'll even Freecycle for you. What could be easier? For higher priced items that stand out, consignment (in the store or on eBay) is always an option.
Items We Normally Accept and Those We Don't (top) We specialize in kids clothing, developmental toys, and related-equipment for kids newborn to size 10/12, as well as maternity clothing. Following are examples of what we normally accept: Clothing (newborn to size 10/12 seasonally) and Shoes (toddler 5 and above), including Halloween Costumes. Car Seats (infant, Toddler, and Booster) Please Note: You must be the original owner, the seat less than 3 years old and certify that it has not been in an accident. Car Seats accepted on consignment only. Highchairs and Booster Seats for the Table (both the kind that attach to the chair and those that attach to the table Pack 'n Plays (especially with bassinette and/or changing table attachments) and Play Pens Baby Monitors, Bottle Warmers & other equipment as needed Higher End Breast Pumps (like Medella and Hollister/Ameda) Strollers (travel systems, umbrella, double, and jogging) Baby Backpacks, Front Carriers, and Slings Exersaucers, Bouncy Seats Doll houses (Fisher Price, Little Tikes, Barbie Strawberry Shortcake are all great, including accessories) DVD Videos (Books & VHS only accepted as space allows or by donation) Swings (all types especially cradle & Take Alongs) Learning Toys (electronic w/ working batteries) Pretend Play Toys (Little Tikes, Step 2, Todays Kids, Fisher Price with included accessories) Outdoor Toys & Ride-ons (slides, climbers, Power Wheels, trikes...) This list in not all inclusive, but should give you a good starting point. Due to standards, customer preference, or space limitations, examples of items we don't accept are: Clothes older than 4 years or with stains or rips, appliques, or attached jewelry/charms. Underwear & socks Stuffed Animals (exceptions occassionally made for popular electronic stuffed toys or licensed plush) Board Games and Boxed Puzzles (unless in original sealed box-never opened) Non-name brand items. Accepting only name brand items helps us search for recalls and ensure the safety of the items we do take.
What's Hot at Enkore Kids... (top) Happy New Year! Currently our clothing racks are full with fall and winter items, 40-50% off. We are no longer taking clothing appointments at this time. Please call us to make appointments for swimwear, select outerwear, toys and equipment. We will begin taking spring and summer clothing for the sizes we are in need of in the middle-end of February. Please call us then. WE NEED: snow pants and snow suits 3m-10/12 rain coats 3m-10/12 bathing suits sizes 3m-10/12 snow and rain boots 5 toddler-2 youth Toys & Equipment Brand name only and must include a model number or manufacture date for us to look up for recalls. Include original packaging, instrustions & registration card to increase the amount we can offer. Batteries, if required, must be included. Items must be clean and ready to go directly on the sles floor. TOYS: Playhouses, outdoor ride ons like bikes, scooters and Power Wheels, slides and climbers, play food and play dishes (plastic and wooden, kitchens, trains sets, pretend grocery carts, doll furniture (plastic and wooden), small, legos, Playmobil, Lincoln Logs and Fisher Price Little People sets. *At this time, we are not taking videos, books, small toys, puzzles, and board games.* DVD's-kids EDUCATION and HOME SCHOOL: games, books, puzzles, flash cards and other items related directly to home school education. EQUIPMENT: We are in high demand for high chairs and pack n plays. Also looking for booster for the table, car seats (done on consignment-please see our policy), toy boxes, storage bins/units and table with chairs. Sports and Dance Items are needed! Sport Examples: Cleats, uniforms, accessories for baseball, football, soccer, hockey, skiing, karate, etc.
Bringing Your Items In (top) We pay cash or store credit for most of your gently used clothing, toys, and equipment for children, infant through size 10/12. Due to the wonderful response, we are unable to process any offers without an appointment. This is to be fair to customers and suppliers alike. Please call 301-668-0837 to set one up. Also, we do have a limit of about 25 items (or what will fit in about one 12-gallon storage bin) for clothing due to limited processing space. Toys are limited to 10 items, also packed in a storage bin, unless they are larger items. Clothing and smaller toys need to be brought in stackable containers such as rubber maid or study cardboard boxes. Plastic or paper bags cannot be accepted. Please call the store or visit the web site for updates. Follow these simple guidelines to help you get the most for your items. Quality and safety are our primary concerns. Clothing: Needs to be freshly laundered and free of any odors, rips, tears, or stains. Please do not send with hangers. Clothing must have all buttons and zippers in working order. Please have all buttons buttoned and zippers zipped. No drawstrings near the head/neck or other unsafe products, please. We will typically pay more for newer, contemporary and name brand clothing, and more for older sizes (size 5 thru 10/12). Price offered is always based on supply and demand. Please ask at the time of your appointment what is currently needed. Toys/Equipment: Must be in clean, working order with all original parts and manuals if available (though not required). See above for examples of what we accept. Increase the offer we can give you by ensuring all battery operated toys have working batteries and are clean. No toys with small parts that may pose a choking hazard. Toys, equipment and furniture must meet current government guidelines and not be under any recall. (If you are unsure, we can check for you.)
How Our Offers Work For You: (top) Get cash upfront or more in store credit! We buy most items directly from you so you get paid upfront, not over the course of the next several months to a year as with typical consignment. Take cash or twice the amount as store credit, or half of both. It's up to you! Store credit is good for everything in the store, including our new items, however, store credit cannot be used with most offers, sales, or on-line purchases. If you see something on-line you like, just call us and we can take your order over the phone with your store credit to reserve it for you. It doesn't expire and we keep track of it for you on our computer (which is backed up daily). How We Figure our Cash/Store Credit Offers: For in-demand toys and equipment, we price items in great condition at 50% off of new. Store credit is approximately 50% of resale and cash is half of the store credit option. For clothing, we pay based on time of season, brand, size, and demand. Resale price for clothing is significantly less than 50% of new and offers must also take end-of season clearance sales into account. Our cash offer for clothing is generally yard sale prices, with store credit being twice that amount, without the yard sale hassels! Consign Your Equipment & Other Special Items: Consignment is reserved for only higher end items that will resell for over $40. This allows us to promote them in the store, on-line, and through e-mail to those looking for something special, helping to sell your item more quickly than in a typical consignment store where everything is on consignment and you're item has little chance of getting an extra promotion. We reach a price with you and don't mark them down without your consent, including for advertised sales unless you’d like to participate. Our agreement is for 30 days, if it doesn’t sell within two weeks or if we get an offer at a lower, though reasonable, price, we’ll ask if you’d like to lower the price to help it sell. After the expiration of the consignment period, if it hasn’t sold, you have two days to pick up your item or it becomes ours to donate or sell. Over 90% of our "on-consignment" items sell within the 30 days. For consignment, you can choose to receive 40% for cash or 50% for store credit, with no added "buyer's fees". You get your money either on demand (two weeks after it's sold - to ensure it is not returned) or we'll send you a check upon request (less $1.00 processing fee). Store credit is available immediately after your item is sold. Some items will receive the option of being put on Ebay for sale. If you agree to have your item listed on eBay, we'll list it as an auction. Additional details will be provided at your appointment.

Frequent Buyer/Seller Club Card (top) Our Frequent Buyer/Seller Club, as the name suggests, benefits our suppliers as well as our buyers! How it works: For every twenty five dollars ($25) you spend you earn a stamp. After twenty six stamps, you get an additional $50 in store credit. Store credit received will count towards stamps when spent. Register your Club Card with us and don't worry about losing it. We'll keep track for you!
